Our Story

招蜂引蝶

Zhao Feng Yin Die

"To beckon the bees, to summon the butterflies" - an old Chinese saying for a presence so fragrant that every wandering soul leans closer.

A name, a promise - wear our scent, and the world drifts toward you the way bees find blossom and butterflies find spring.

招蜂引蝶 was founded by perfumer 韋一 Riiv, whose work treats fragrance as a vessel for memory, ritual, and cultural continuity. , whose work treats fragrance as a vessel for memory, ritual, and cultural continuity.

Under Riiv's direction, each scent is shaped as a story older than itself - one carried by smoke, by steam, by tea, and by the hush of a courtyard at dawn.

Every composition begins with a memory of Chinese culture. The sandalwood and ambered resin of a temple at first light. A grandmother's hand pouring tieguanyin into a warm cup, the first roasted note rising with the steam. Camphor wood from old mountain houses. Wet stone after summer rain on a stone-lion threshold.

Our work also listens to the living present - where classical fragrance culture meets modern sensibility, and where old materials find new forms. These quiet collisions become accords: oolong and oud, jasmine and cold brew, incense and honeyed cocoa.

Each candle is hand-poured in small batches with a soy-coconut wax blend and natural cotton wicks, burning cleanly for over fifty hours. Each fragrance is composed slowly, the way one steeps tea - patiently, attentively, never rushed.
